Shannon Ranio

Shannon Ranio is the Assistant Director for Research Project Management in Penn State's Strategic Interdisciplinary Research Office (SIRO). She has more than 20 years of experience supporting complex, federally funded research programs and specializes in project management for large, interdisciplinary, and multi-institutional collaborations. Shannon partners with investigators and research teams throughout the project lifecycle, from proposal development through award management, helping coordinate scientific collaborations, strengthen communication, manage risk, and support successful project execution. Her experience spans NIH, NSF, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, state, and foundation-funded initiatives. Within EFNET, Shannon provides project management support to help facilitate collaboration, coordination, and the successful achievement of program goals.
